Privacy policy
Updated on November 5, 2026
This policy explains what personal data this site handles, why, who it is shared with, for how long and how you can exercise your rights, under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law 13,709/2018, LGPD).
1. Who handles the data
The data controller is Silas Martins, an individual responsible for this portfolio. To talk about your data, write to silas.martins2041@gmail.com. I reply within 15 days.
2. What data, why and on what legal basis
- Contact form (name, email and message): to answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 7, IX), because you requested the contact.
- Technical logs (IP address, browser, date and time), generated by the hosting provider: to keep the site running and protect it from abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 7, IX).
- Preferences (theme and language): to show the site the way you chose. They stay in your browser and do not identify you.
The site has no accounts, no database of its own, no analytics and no advertising. I do not ask for sensitive data (health, religion and others): please do not send it in your message. The site is not aimed at children and teenagers.
3. Cookies and browser storage
- NEXT_LOCALE (essential cookie): stores the chosen language.
- theme (browser local storage): stores the light or dark theme.
There are no analytics or advertising cookies, so the site does not ask for cookie consent. You can delete this data in your browser settings.
4. Who the data is shared with
- Discord: receives the contact form content, delivered to a private channel through a webhook.
- Vercel: hosts the site and generates the technical logs.
- Hygraph: stores the site content and delivers some images, so it receives your IP address, like any site that delivers images.
- WhatsApp, GitHub and LinkedIn: only receive data if you click their links or the share button; from then on, their own policies apply.
- Authorities, when required by law or a court order.
I never sell or rent personal data.
5. International transfer
Discord, Vercel and Hygraph may process data outside Brazil, mainly in the United States and the European Union, under these providers' policies and art. 33 of the LGPD.
6. For how long
- Contact messages: for as long as needed to answer and follow up on the conversation. You can ask for deletion at any time.
- Technical logs: for the period set by the hosting provider.
- Preferences: until you delete them in your browser.
7. Your rights
Under art. 18 of the LGPD, you can:
- confirm whether I handle your data and access it;
- correct incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
- request anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data or data handled in breach of the law;
- request data portability;
- find out who your data was shared with;
- object to processing and withdraw consent, when consent is the legal basis.
To exercise these rights, write to silas.martins2041@gmail.com. If you are not satisfied, you can also contact the Brazilian Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
8. Security
The site uses a secure connection (HTTPS), the webhook address is only stored on the server, and the form validates data before sending it. No system is completely secure: if an incident brings relevant risk, the ANPD and the affected people will be notified, as the LGPD requires.
9. Changes to this policy
When the site starts handling data in a different way, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
